Edsorb is a note-taking and study app designed for students, educators, professionals, and lifelong learners. It helps you organize, summarize, and review your learning materials in one place.

Yes, it is free. Only certain premium features require a subscription for access.

No account, no sign-up, and no internet are required. Your notes are saved directly on your device, so you can study anytime, anywhere.

The app is available for iOS and Android devices. Tablet and phone versions are supported for flexible use.

Yes! Whether you’re preparing for exams, managing training materials, or planning presentations, the app adapts to your needs.

No, the app doesn’t include preloaded study content. All the notes, topics, and key points are created by you. The examples shown in screenshots are only for demonstration purposes. This way, the app stays flexible for any subject, and entering content yourself helps reinforce learning and makes your notes truly personalized.

Notes & Organization

Simply type in plain text and use Markdown formatting (like bold, italics, headings, or lists) to structure your notes clearly. If you are not familiar with Markdown, please refer to the Help section in the app for the Markdown syntax.

Yes, you can insert photos, equations, diagrams, or snapshots of handwritten notes to enrich your study materials. However, equations, diagrams, or handwritten notes cannot be entered directly but have to be saved and inserted as images.

Notes are organized by subjects, topics, and subtopics (optional). This structure makes it easy to keep everything neatly in place.

Absolutely. Just drag and drop topics, key points, or references to rearrange them however you like.

In the list of topics click the 3-dots icon on the extreme right of the topic to edit. In the pop-up menu select Edit to edit the title and/or description.

From the same pop-up menu, you can also delete the topic or view the list of subtopics for the particular topic.

Learning & Review

From the list of topics, click the “Key Points” icon on the right of the topic. A list of existing key points, if any, will be displayed. Click the “+” button to create a new key point.

Apart from the title and details, a cue or prompt can also be added. This prompt will be used when the flash card for the key point is shown.

Highlight important text in your notes, and the app can extract those highlights as key points. You can then paraphrase them in your own words to reinforce learning.

Notes: Full, detailed study material created for a topic.

Slides: Clean, presentation-style cards for quick reviews based on key points of  a topic.

Flashcards: Bite-sized Q&A cards for active recall practice based on key points of  a topic.

Yes. You can view your slides in slideshow mode. Each slide is shown for a set duration (10 seconds by default) before automatically moving to the next one.

Yes. Shuffling helps avoid memorizing in order and encourages deeper learning.

Yes. Bookmarks let you return to key topics instantly without searching.

Privacy & Data

All notes are stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to the cloud unless you choose to export a backup and upload it yourself.

No. Your notes are private and stay with you — we don’t collect or share your content.

Yes. You can export notes in Markdown format and key points in plain text.

You can also create a backup of your data and export it so that you can restore later if necessary.

When exporting a backup, you can set a password. Only someone with that password can restore the backup.

Yes, it is free. Only certain premium features require a subscription for access.

Simply go to the app settings and choose “Upgrade to Edsorb Premium”. The purchase is handled through your app store.

By subscription, billed on a yearly basis through the App Store or Play Store.

Yes, most regions offer a 7-day free trial so that you can test the premium features before subscribing.

Backup

With premium access, the app saves a backup file on your device at regular intervals. You can also export backups manually.

Notes are stored locally, so you’ll need to export and import backups to move notes between devices.

Yes. You can export the notes and key points of a selected topic.

When exporting a backup, you can set a password. Only someone with that password can restore the backup.
